Deadlines for Arts Grants

Production/Sponsorship Grants are available to community groups, nonprofit organizations and public schools to either produce their own arts activity or sponsor a touring artist/activity.  Applicants may apply for matching funds up to $2,500 to help defray costs of each project.  Projects must begin after July 1, 2006 and complement one of the arts disciplines - dance, drama, literature, music, visual art, etc. Next Application Deadline is September 15th.

Emerging Opportunity Grants up to $500 are available to arts organizations, schools, and community groups to sponsor any arts related activity.  This program is designed for first time applicants or those wishing to take advantage of a late breaking opportunity.  Deadline: The first day of each month.

Individual Artist Grants are available to practicing artists residing in Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena Counties.  Grants of $100- $500 per artist can be used to help defray any costs associated with an artist’s professional development.  Next Application Deadline is September 15th.

General Operating/ Capital Grants are available to small nonprofit arts organizations to strengthen and stabilize their operations.  Organizations may apply for up to $2,500 for unrestricted general operating, capital expenditures, and/or building projects.  Next Application Deadline is September 15th.

Artist/Mentor Scholarship Program   Scholarships are awarded to rural high school students in grades 9-12 who demonstrate high motivation to work in the arts.  The program serves to supplement the arts education in our region's schools by providing the opportunity to study a chosen art field with a regional practicing artist.  Deadline:  October 15th of each year and ongoing if all awards are not disbursed.
