Larry Alan Kimball | Cass County
Larry Kimball is a performing musician and lifelong supporter of the arts. He plays rhythm guitar with the Celtic band Northwind Crossing and joined the Five Wings Arts Council Board to give back through public service and help strengthen the arts in his community.
A retired attorney, Larry grew up in the northern Black Hills of South Dakota and graduated cum laude from the University of South Dakota in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and minors in psychology, mathematics, and foreign language. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa for his excellence in Hellenistic studies and later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota in 1984.
Over his career, Larry practiced law in Walker, Minnesota, with a focus on criminal defense, real estate, probate, and tribal law. He worked extensively with the Leech Lake Criminal and Juvenile Defense Corporation and the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe Finance Corporation.
Larry lives in Walker with his wife Genell. They have four adult children and three grandchildren.
